Javier R. Zamora, OD
Dr. Zamora has lived in the Austin area since 1985 and has been involved in eye care for over 26 years. He is the co-founder of Advanced Eye Care & Surgery in Round Rock, the past optometric director of refractive surgery for the largest group practice in central Texas where he co-managed over 5,000 refractive surgery cases, and the past clinical director for Dell Laser Consultants (DLC). DLC is a Laser Vision Correction facility in Austin featuring the latest in refractive surgery technology including Custom Wavefront LASIK and is the only center in central Texas with four state-of-the-art excimer lasers. Dr. Zamora received a B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He was involved in ophthalmic technical training for over 14 years and has taught continuing education courses for certified ophthalmic personnel extensively throughout Texas, Louisiana, Arizona, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio.
Dr. Zamora received the University of Texas Achievement Award and was the recipient of the University of Houston Graduate Fellowship Award. He received the Beta Sigma Kappa Award and VSP Award and Scholarship in 1997. He was also the recipient of the Vistakon Award for Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care in 1998. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, the Central Texas Optometric Society, and the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Zamora is licensed in Texas as a Therapeutic Optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. He has served as an adjunct professor and a preceptor for one of the largest externship programs at the University of Houston College of Optometry. |
Debbie A. Zamora, OD
A native of Louisiana, Dr. Debbie Zamora practiced optometry in Louisiana and central Texas while co-founding Advanced Eye Care & Surgery. She comes from a family of eye care professionals- her father practiced optometry for over 35 years, a sister who is an ophthalmologist, and another sister who is an optometrist. Dr. Zamora received a B.S. degree from Tulane University and graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She completed an externship program at the United States Marine Corps Recruit Depot and Naval Hospital in South Carolina. There she conducted procedures in a refractive surgery study to determine its safety and efficacy for naval aviators. She and her husband, Dr. Javier Zamora, have practiced together since 2001.
Dr. Zamora was the recipient of a Legislative Academic Scholarship at Tulane University. She is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society, the Texas Optometric Association, the Louisiana State Association of Optometrists, the American Optometric Association, and is a past President of the Central Texas Optometric Society. Dr. Zamora is an active member of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce. |
Debra L. Ware, OD
Dr. Ware was graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry and is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society. Dr. Ware is active in various optometric organizations, including the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and Central Texas Optometric Society (serving as Treasurer 2001-2002 and Secretary 2000).

Lani T. Hoang, MD
Dr. Hoang is dedicated to helping children improve their quality of life through improved vision. Establishing a long-term relationship and a positive experience with her patients and their family is a top priority.
Dr. Hoang earned her medical degree at Oregon Health & Science University and completed her residency in ophthalmology at Casey Eye Institute in Portland, OR. She then continued her extensive training through her fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard University specializing in pediatrics ophthalmology and adult strabismus. Her clinical interest encompasses pediatric cataract, amblyopia nasolacrimal duct disorders, glaucoma and strabismus where she provides adjustable suture surgery for children and adults. She is also involved in community service both locally and internationally as an instructor and volunteer. Originally from Oregon, her family has relocated to Austin, which has attracted Dr. Hoang to put down new roots here. She also enjoys the ample sunshine and access to great food in central Texas. In her free time she loves hiking, trying new restaurants and spending time with her family. Dr. Hoang is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus, Austin Ophthalmological Society, Texas Medical Association, and Travis County Medical Society. John W. Branch, MD
John William Branch, MD was raised in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in the east Tennessee town of Kingsport. He grew up playing baseball and football, as well as hiking along the Appalachian Trail and the several national parks of the area. He obtained his bachelor's degree at Clemson University where he was an active Young Life leader and assistant football coach of the area's high school football team. He completed his medical training at the University of South Florida followed by a transitional internship at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas. He then moved back to finish his ophthalmology training at the University of South Florida where he performed more cataract surgeries than anyone in the history of the program. After completing his residency, Dr. Branch moved to Greenville, South Carolina to help establish a division of ophthalmology for the Greenville Hospital System. He was the staff surgeon during his time there and lectured both the residents and medical students. He is married to his lovely wife, Melissa, who is an Austin native, and has two beautiful children, Noah and Averie.
In his spare time Dr. Branch enjoys running, cycling, music and traveling. Most of his spare time is spent with his wife being entertained by watching their young children doing the weird things kids do. He enjoys playing guitar and piano and watching his children dance along with his music. He has completed several road races, including the Nashville and Tampa marathons. Along with routine eye exams, Dr. Branch performs a variety of surgeries including cataract, eyelid surgery and LASIK/PRK. He offers the most advanced technology in custom LASIK surgery. He has experience with a variety of new lenses that are used to help correct presbyopia (the need for reading glasses). |
